East Bio Co., Ltd. introduced “TECHMAT,” a monitoring system designed for care environments, at CareTEX Tokyo 2026 Summer. In addition to measuring heart rate, respiratory rate, and sleep status—functions commonly associated with monitoring systems—TECHMAT can also measure body pressure, providing information that can be used to support pressure ulcer prevention and related care.
A key feature is its full-body sensor design. By covering a broad area of the bed, the system is designed to reduce false detections while monitoring the user’s condition. The combination of vital-sign monitoring, sleep monitoring, and body-pressure measurement allows care providers to obtain multiple types of information through a single system.
At the exhibition, East Bio positioned TECHMAT as a solution for care facilities seeking to strengthen resident monitoring while supporting preventive care. In particular, the ability to measure body pressure was highlighted as a feature that can help staff assess pressure distribution and use the information when providing care aimed at preventing pressure ulcers.

Our product, TECHMAT, was newly released on July 1st.
In addition to the standard monitoring system functions of measuring heart rate, respiratory rate, and sleep status,it can also measure body pressure.
Measuring body pressure can be used for purposes such as preventing bedsores.
Furthermore, because it uses a sensor that covers the entire body, it has a relatively low rate of false detections.
