CUC iData Co., Ltd. introduced “Fukuyakkun,” a medication error prevention system for care facilities, at CareTEX Tokyo 2026 Summer. Using a dedicated mobile application to scan QR codes, the system checks whether medication is being administered to the correct resident, helping facilities prevent medication errors during daily care operations.
The system is also designed to streamline medication assistance workflows. According to the company, processes that previously required two staff members for double-checking can be performed by one person with system-based verification. Medication records are also created automatically, reducing the administrative work associated with documenting medication assistance.
By combining QR code-based verification with automatic record keeping, Fukuyakkun addresses both medication safety and operational efficiency. CUC iData presented the system as a solution for care facilities seeking to reduce the risk of medication errors while easing the workload associated with manual checks and record management.
