UltraViolet Devices, Inc. (UVDI) presented the UVDI-360 Room Sanitizer with UV Smart Connect at Medical Fair Asia 2026. The system is designed to be used after manual cleaning in hospitals as an additional infection-prevention measure to reduce microorganisms that may remain on environmental surfaces.
According to the presentation, the UVDI-360 can treat surfaces within approximately 2.4 meters in five minutes while providing 360-degree UV-C coverage. The system is designed, tested and manufactured in Valencia, California, and UVDI stated that it is used in more than 1,100 hospitals across 39 countries.
UV Smart Connect provides cloud-based visibility into treatment cycles and system status, along with real-time performance alerts and remote support capabilities. Founded in 1992, UVDI builds on a family history in ultraviolet technology dating back to 1949 and also develops UV-C solutions for indoor air quality as well as surface decontamination.
