In injection molding plants, reducing setup time during mold changes and preventing connection errors are important factors that directly affect production efficiency. In processes that handle multiple connectors, such as cooling water circuits, reducing operator workload and ensuring reliable connections are essential.
At Manufacturing Expo 2026, Stäubli introduced a quick mold change solution for injection molding molds. At the booth, the company exhibited a multi-connector that integrates multiple connectors into a single plate, allowing simultaneous connection and disconnection with one operation.
The exhibited unit combines seven to eight connectors on one plate and uses a locking mechanism to connect them all at once. When releasing the connectors, multiple connections can also be disconnected in a single operation, reducing the need to connect each connector individually.
As a Swiss company, Stäubli proposed products that improve the efficiency of mold change operations for injection molding applications. The multi-connector was presented as a solution that not only shortens connection work time but also helps reduce connection errors for molding plants, mold manufacturers, and equipment maintenance teams.
