In the apparel industry, sustainable materials and high-performance fabrics are becoming important requirements for brands, uniform makers, and OEM garment manufacturers. For uniform applications in particular, fabrics must address pilling, color fading, shape retention, comfort, and repeated washing durability while still allowing design flexibility.
At GFT 2026, PSD Group presented its vertically integrated production capability, covering nylon yarn, knitted fabrics, and finished garments. At the booth, the company introduced apparel fabric made with recycled nylon derived from used fishing nets, offering a material option for brands seeking more sustainable textile solutions.
The company also presented jacquard fabrics that can support custom patterns. Customers can provide their desired design, and PSD Group can weave the pattern into jacquard fabric for shirts, casualwear, uniforms, or brand-specific apparel development.
For uniform applications, PSD Group introduced its Kinetic Performance Polo fabric made from polyester spandex. Compared with cotton or cotton-blend fabrics that may pill or fade after repeated washing, the polyester spandex fabric offers stretch, comfort, and washing durability. The company described it as a fabric that maintains its shape even after more than 50 washes, making it relevant for uniform makers and apparel OEM companies.

We are showcasing a new innovation at our booth today: recycled nylon made from used fishing nets woven into clothing fabric. We have it on display here.
Another technique we’d like to introduce is Jacquard weaving. Jacquard fabric is a woven fabric with various colorful patterns.
This is an example of a shirt made from Jacquard fabric. Customers can send their desired patterns, and we can then weave the finished Jacquard fabric for them.
Here we have a fabric suitable for uniforms. Most uniforms are made from cotton or cotton blends like TC, TK, and CVC. The drawback of these fabrics is that they pill easily and fade after repeated washing.
Therefore, we’d like to introduce our Kinetic Performance Polo Fabric, which is a poly spandex fabric.
Poly spandex is highly elastic and can withstand many washes without fading. It’s comfortable to wear and maintains its shape even after more than 50 washes.
