QUKAI MEGA FUSION® 3.5 VTOL drone - Qu-Kai. [RISCON TOKYO 2026]
Qu-Kai. introduced the VTOL aircraft “QUKAI MEGA FUSION® 3.5,” with a 3.5-meter wingspan, at RISCON TOKYO 2026. Headquartered in Machida, Tokyo, and also operating an R&D base in Yamanashi and a site in Chiba, the company positions itself as a manufacturer focused on Japanese-made VTOL fixed-wing UAVs and continues to develop both hardware and system software.
The exhibit is characterized by a flight time of 100 minutes on electric power and five hours on gasoline, as well as a cruising speed of 80 to 100 km/h. The company explained that it is designed for long-range, long-duration operations, including information gathering over wide areas, venue search, and surveying terrain changes around volcanoes that cannot be approached after an eruption.
The company said it aims to reduce operations that previously took about a week to roughly 30 minutes, and indicated that it will also address long-distance logistics in the future. By emphasizing Made in Japan development of the relatively small number of VTOL aircraft in Japan, the company is highlighting its approach to advancing the social implementation of high-performance drones.

00:00 This is Qu-Kai. Thank you for your time.
00:03 We are a manufacturer focused on Japanese-made VTOL fixed-wing UAVs.
00:05 We are constantly developing both hardware and system software.
00:15 What we are exhibiting today is a VTOL aircraft with a 3.5 m wingspan, our equipment for use, and so on.
00:21 It can fly for 100 minutes on electric power and 5 hours on gasoline, enabling long-range, long-duration, high-speed flight.
00:29 It cruises at around 80 to 100 km/h, so it can be used to collect information over wide areas or search venues.
00:38 For example, it can be used to investigate changes in terrain around a volcano where nobody can approach after an eruption.
00:45 In simple terms, it can carry out operations that used to take about a week in about 30 minutes.
00:52 In the future, of course, it is also designed to meet the need for long-distance logistics.
00:56 There are not many VTOL aircraft in Japan, but
00:59 we will continue working hard to develop excellent aircraft with a Made in Japan focus.
01:06 Please feel free to contact us. Thank you.
