Haba mochi arare and red rice mochi - Maeharaseifun Co.,Ltd [GOOD LIFE Fair 2026]
Maeharaseifun Co.,Ltd introduced packaged mochi made with a strong focus on domestically grown rice at GOOD LIFE Fair 2026, along with end-cut arare and ancient-rice mochi blended with red rice. Headquartered in Himeji, Hyogo, the company also handles shiratama flour and mochi flour as well as kagami mochi, and is broadening its lineup from everyday mochi products to more distinctive items for the venue.
At the booth, end-cut arare made from mochi drew attention. It is an upcycled product that makes use of mochi dough that would otherwise have to be regenerated at the factory; the dough set aside for arare is baked at an arare shop, then finished with raw soy sauce from Tatsuno, Hyogo, or salt from Ako, Hyogo. Ancient-rice mochi blended with red rice was also introduced, and a defining feature is that it is produced without additives in a cleanroom.
The company also lined up a 300-yen scooping game, an oshiruko set, small mochi, and “Hokkaido Mochi Meguri,” which emphasizes ingredients sourced from Hokkaido, showing the range of ways the products can be eaten and enjoyed. Shelf life is said to be at least one year and up to two years, and based on its packaged-mochi technology, the company is advancing product proposals that balance storability with ingredient character.
