CITYLIFT KAWASAKI Ltd exhibited the chair-type stair lift NEO at H.C.R.2026. The product is presented as a stair lift in which the rail does not need to extend all the way to the bottom landing, while still allowing boarding and alighting from the lower side.
The exhibit’s key mechanism is that the rail can end at the first step, yet the chair can still reach a position for boarding from the first floor. This differs from the conventional setup shown in the demonstration, where the rail must extend to the very bottom.
The product is positioned for stair-lift installations where lower-floor access matters and where the stair layout affects deployment.

00:00 We are CITYLIFT KAWASAKI Ltd.
00:05 Today, we would like to introduce our new product, NEO.
00:09 With conventional models, the rail has to extend all the way to the bottom and reach the lowest point, but this product can end at the first step.
00:22 That may make it seem as though it does not go all the way down,
00:28 but even when the chair reaches this point, it is designed so that you can get on and off from below.
00:36 Now, let us move the chair a little.
00:49 Yes. This position is the point where it has now reached the very bottom.
00:55 At this position, you can get on the chair from the first floor like this.
01:07 This is the biggest feature of this new product.
01:12 Thank you very much.
