For regional agricultural products seeking overseas market opportunities, processed foods that clearly communicate local identity and are easy to use in bakery, confectionery, and café menus can be especially effective.
At FOOD TAIPEI MEGA SHOWS, Earth Kaida Co., Ltd. introduced corn jam made with corn grown in Nagano Prefecture’s Kaida Plateau. The product is made by adding only beet and beet granulated sugar to naturally sweet corn, highlighting the flavor of the ingredient itself.
The corn jam can be used as a spread for bread and crackers, as well as an ingredient for sweets and desserts. It offers a distinctive proposal for food retailers, bakeries, confectionery manufacturers, cafés, and buyers looking for Japanese regional processed foods.
Based in Kaida Plateau, Kiso Town, Nagano Prefecture, the company grows agricultural products such as corn, asparagus, turnips, buckwheat, and egoma, while developing and selling processed foods that make use of local agricultural resources.

Today, I’d like to introduce a corn jam that hasn’t even been released in Japan yet.
Our company grows about 200,000 ears of corn a year.
It’s very sweet corn, and we’ve made jam using only sugar beets and beet granulated sugar.
You can spread it on bread, crackers, or use it in sweets; there are so many ways to use it.
It really tastes like real corn, so I hope you’ll give it a try.
In addition to this jam, we also have a corn gelato in our corn series, which I couldn’t bring with me today.
I would really love for you to try that as well, but I wanted to introduce it to you, so please enjoy.
