Magnus Nilsson is exhibited ClayO2mate at Surface Design Show 2023 .

Hi I’m Magnus Nilsson, I’m based in Copenhagen.
I’m a recently graduate student from the architecture school in Copenhagen.
I’m a recently graduate student from the architecture school in Copenhagen.

What I’m presenting here is a performative facade design that uses Moroccan clay also known as Smectite clay to capture CO2 from the ambient air.

and then the captured CO2 is washed by Wastewater and then it drifts down into a collector panel with tomato plants that then absorb the CO2.

So the the prototype is capable of absorbing 27 grams per cubic meter of clay.

So 27 grams of CO2 in one-hour ais approximately the same amount that the one person exhales in an hour.
